HRH Oba Adeshina Akanmu Oluwasheyi, the Onisheri of Magodo was born on 15th May, 1971 in Lagos State to His Royal Majesty Oba Adewamiwa Akanmu of Magodo.

He received his elementary education at St Gregory Elementary School in Ottawa, Canada and his secondary school education at Sir Robert Burden High School, Ottawa, Canada. He obtained his tertiary education degree at Ontario State University, Ontario, where he studied Civil Engineering.
