Tottenham have had a six-month loan deal knocked back for former Watford forward Odion Ighalo from Shanghai Shenhua.
If the forward leaves China this evening, he will be going elsewhere - with Spurs now unlikely to sign a striker before the end of the transfer window, but continuing to explore their options, Sky Sports reports.
If Ighalo does leave China he will go elsewhere, potentially to United before the 11pm transfer deadline, Sky Sports reports.
Ighalo is in pre-season training with Shenhua in China, but the new Chinese Super League season has been delayed due to the escalation of the Coronavirus.
Tottenham, who have explored a number of short-term options to cover for the injured Harry Kane this month, are increasingly unlikely to sign a striker but continue to explore what are now limited options.
