Police in Kano State have arrested three suspected cattle rustlers and recovered over 1,000 stolen cows from them during their seven-day raid on Falgore Forest.
The force arrested suspected kidnappers and armed robbers during the raid.
The Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, said at a press conference in Kwanar Dangora, Kiru Local Government Area of the state on Friday, the raid was carried out by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad in collaboration with members of Miyetti Allah.
Iliyasu named the three suspects as Sai’du Abdullahi, Lawan Mohammed and Suleiman Abdullahi.
According to the CP, they recovered two AK-47 rifles with 110 rounds of live ammunition, three Pump Action rifles with 22 live cartridges, four handsets and military uniform from the hoodlums.
Iliyasu, who said the suspects had confessed to the crime, promised that they would arrest those who escaped during the raid.
