The Ogun State Government on Friday refuted the claim that the transition committee of the Governor-elect, Dapo Abiodun, was denied access to some state-owned facilities for inspection
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Information and Strategy, Rotimi Durojaiye, in a statement on Friday described the allegation by the committee as false and unfounded.
Durojaiye stated that the committee’s account was an attempt to blackmail the outgoing government and misinform the public.
He said, “It has come to the attention of the Ogun State Government that the transition committee set up by the Governor-elect, Mr Dapo Abiodun, has been denied access to some state-owned facilities for inspection by the outgoing administration. We say this is another false, malicious, unfounded, distasteful and unsavoury allegation from the incoming administration.
Durojaiye explained the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Taiwo Adeoluwa, had “in a genuine reply” to a request for the inspection of key government facilities by the incoming Deputy Governor-elect, Mrs Noimot Salako-Oyedele, itemised some of the challenges faced by the government on some of the facilities.
