The Taraba State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress on Sunday said President Muhammadu Buhari will today (Monday) pay a thank you visit to the people of the state after the Presidential election.
This is just as the party in Delta State said Buhari would also visit Delta State on Monday.
The Publicity Secretary of the APC in Taraba State, Mr Aaron Arthimas, on Sunday told journalists that the President’s visit to Taraba would strengthen the party ahead of Saturday’s governorship and state Assembly elections.
He said, “The President was impressed with the crowd that received him when he visited the state for presidential campaign.
“The President was also happy with the result of the presidential election in the state which was overwhelming. The party at the National level discovered that the APC can win Taraba State.
“When the President visits tomorrow (Monday), his visit will give the party hope and more confidence to win the Saturday state elections.”
Also, the President’s visit to Delta State was confirmed on the telephone by the spokesman of the APC Presidential Campaign in the state, Dr Cairo Ojougboh.
Ojougboh said, “Mr President is visiting because he wants to use the opportunity to thank the party in Delta State and Deltans for their support for him during in the last presidential election.
“Mr President is overwhelmed by the show of love for him in spite of all the difficulties the APC encountered in Delta from the wicked PDP government in Delta State. But that notwithstanding, the party was able to get over 25 per cent votes needed for the President’s re-election.”
