The vice-presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr Peter Obi, has said the All Progressives Congress cannot take over states in Niger Delta by a show of force.
Obi was reacting to a recent statement credited to the APC that it would take over Niger Delta states, particularly Delta and Awka Ibom states in Saturday’s elections.
The former governor of Anambra State told the APC to pursue its dream through securing lawful votes.
Obi noted that the country already had crises in a number of states, which he said, had proved difficult for security agencies to stop.
He said, “The country may get to a breaking point if more states are drawn into mindless crises instigated by some political actors at the helm of the nation’s affairs.”
