The National Action Council on Tuesday said there was no truth in some reports that it had endorsed President Muhammadu Buhari for the presidential election holding on Saturday.
The party’s National Secretary, Remi Ayanlade, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists in Abuja.
Ayinlade claimed that a former national chairman of the party was behind the report.
He said the former chairman had been sacked and replaced with Tijani Idris.
He said, “We have not endorsed anybody. I am the national secretary of the party and we have never sat down anywhere to endorse Muhammadu Buhari. It is totally false.
“It was the former national chairman that is parading herself and is killing the party with false information.
“We have never sat down anywhere to endorse President Buhari. We still have some few days and some few hours to decide. We will let you know.”
Idris also confirmed that the party had yet to decide whether to endorse Buhari or not.
