The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Uche Secondus, says President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress “are dangerous to Nigeria and its democracy”.
Speaking during a PDP campaign rally in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on Monday, Secondus said, “I want to warn our friends who are from this state, who believe that Akwa Ibom State’s election can be rigged, if you rig the election in Akwa Ibom, you rig your head. Our dear country is in distress and the whole world is aware.
“The economy of the country is down. People are being killed every day. There is hunger in the land caused by the APC government.
“Buhari’s action is a threat to democracy and the existence of our country. Therefore, Buhari and the APC are dangerous.
“This country must be liberated, this country must regain freedom where people will work freely and do their businesses freely in a free atmosphere, free enterprise and a free Nigeria.”
The PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, said the APC had failed to deliver many of its promises to Nigerians.
He stated that the PDP provided many infrastructure in the state.
He reiterated his commitment to restructuring Nigeria.
He also promised to provide jobs.
