Former Speaker, Ekiti State House of Assembly, Femi Bamisile, has urged Nigerians to see the 2019 general elections as “another game of integrity and performance test”.
According to Bamisile, the elections will give Nigerians an opportunity to decide which direction they want the country to go.
The All Progressives Congress House of Representatives candidate for Ekiti South Federal Constituency II told journalists at his Omuo Ekiti home town at the weekend, “There is no doubt that the coming general elections would be another game of integrity and performance test, and the question will now be to compare the four years of the APC to the 16 years of the PDP in Nigeria.”
He described claims by the PDP and its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, that they would reposition Nigeria as “embarrassing and insulting to Nigerians’ sensibilities after they had earlier destroyed the country through looting and bad leadership”.
He added, “Nigerians could not have forgotten so easily and soon how the PDP bastardised the economy before the masses voted them out in 2015. So, no amount of propaganda and lies will save the PDP from defeat in 2019.
“But the APC has through President Muhammadu Buhari, in the last three and years, laid a solid structure for economic recovery and development with an array of infrastructures cutting across all the six geo-political zones.”
Bamisile called on Nigerians to continue to support the APC, saying it was the “only better option to transform Nigeria for the benefit of all.”
