Victor Moses |
Super Eagles striker Victor Moses is looking forward to
leading Nigeria to a successful campaign at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Moses was Nigeria’s star man as the Super Eagles qualified for the Mundial even
with a match to spare, posting incredible performances in big games against
Cameroon, Zambia and Algeria.
He emerged the team’s highest scorer for the team
with three goals in the campaign.
He got rewarded with the Player of the Year Award at the
recently-hosted NFF Awards in Lagos and the striker, while receiving the plague
from the Nigeria Football Federation first Vice President Shehu Dikko in London
at the weekend, expressed his excitement over the gong and promised to work
harder to help Nigeria in Russia.
“I am simply over the moon with this award. It means that
the country and the people really appreciate the little we are doing for the
national team. “I am looking forward to doing much more for Nigeria at the FIFA
World Cup finals in Russia,” said Moses, who was named winner at the Awards
ceremony on February 19.
