It was indeed dramatic and unbelievable today as Lagos State
Polytechnic staff unions mourned what they described as the bad leadership of
the Rector of the school, Mr. Samuel
Sogunro.
This is coming at the heel of the ongoing strike which is
already two weeks old due to the non-payment
of 82 months arrears.
Our correspondent gathered that the staff unions trooped out
in their numbers to the front of the administrative office/library complex of
the institution where they fried bean cake popularly known as
"Akara."
It was gathered that they did this in order to mourn the bad
leadership of Rector Sogunro and the negative history they said he has brought
to LASPOTECH.
One of them who spoke to our correspondent on the condition anonymity
said they did it in order for the school not to experience this kind of
misnomer again.
He said they also used the bean cake to usher Sogunro and
his bad leadership out of our campuses.
As at the time of filling this report, people are still
there eating and dancing with DJ blaring music. This was done in front of the
Polytechnic's Administrative/library block.
