this year through solar.

Orajaka disclosed this in an exclusive interview with BrandInfo yesterday in Lagos.
He noted that they have deployed a lot of stand alone solar
home systems across the country particularly in major cities like Lagos, Abuja
and Port Harcourt, adding that they are like a micro utility in about six rural
communities where they fully generated electricity using solar to settle
inhabitants in these communities.
According to Orajaka one of the communities has been
enjoying an interrupted power supply for as much as two years which has had
very huge impact on the economy and standard of living in that community.
“We have deployed a lot of stand alone solar home systems
across the country particularly in major cities like Lagos, Abuja and Port
Harcourt. Equally we are more like a micro utility in about six rural
communities where we fully generated electricity using solar to settle
inhabitant in these communities. One of the communities has been enjoying an
interrupted power supply for as much as two years which has had very huge
impact in social economy and standard of living in that community,” he
explained.
Orajaka noted that power is actually a very big issue in
Nigeria, stating that as much as 60 per cent of the population have no access
to electricity
He said the company
is currently working on a shorter medium target of providing interrupted power
supply for 2 percent of Nigeria population which is about 3.6 million people by
the year 2022.
