Chief Executive Officer of Media View Limited, Mr Babatunde Idowu Adedoyin has emerged the new president of the Outdoor Advertising Association of Nigeria, OAAN.In a keenly contested election held during the 30th Annual General Meeting of the association recently, Adedoyin polled 47 votes to beat Mr. Ladi Sole of Uniksites Nigeria Limited who polled 11 votes.
Other new officers include Mr. Emma Ajufo who emerged as the Vice President, Femi Ogala,General Secretary, Atilola Williams, Treasurer, Obi Nnaobi, Publicity Secretary, and Mr. Tunde Oyekan as the Assistant General Secretary. The Ex Officio members include, Modupe Lawuyi, Bidwell Okere, and Churchill Nwagwu.
Mr Babatunde Idowu Adedoyin is a member of American Marketing Association. He attended Middlesex Polytechnic (now Middlesex University), Hendon, London where he bagged Higher National Certificate in Marketing Communication in 1980.
He sat and passed London Chamber of Commerce professional exam the same year and returned to Nigeria to observe the one-year mandatory National Youth service Corps. He served with Berec Nigeria Plc. and was retained as Assistant Sales Manager on completion of service.
He left Berec for teaching in 1983 and taught for ten years. He retired voluntarily from the service of Lagos State Teaching Service Commission in 1993.He co-founded Intermedia Service Limited, an outdoor advertising practitioner while still in public service in 1989.He resigned from the Board of the company in 1995 for the United States and deplored all necessary arrangement for the commencement of MediaViews full operation.
